Membership - all you need to know

We offer a range of paid membership options for those who want to contribute to Tyne & Wear Cultural Freelancers.

The very first thing to stress is, these memberships are optional.

There will be no difference in service or access between those who have a membership and those who don’t. We may occasionally send members little gifts in the post, like these jazzy postcards - but if you’re not a member and want to receive these, just sign up here.

Memberships start from £1 per month (£12 per year) for individuals and we also offer memberships for organisations, click here to see more about that.

Tyne & Wear Cultural Freelancers is currently volunteer-ran by our two directors (meet them here) and our income streams are:

  • contributions from the directors

  • funding to deliver specific projects

  • consulting with organisations on specific projects

  • memberships

No matter which price you choose, the benefits remain the same:

  • access to the TWCF Facebook group

  • access to all of our events

  • access to all of our resources, workshops and training

With the money you choose to contribute we will:

  • commission content, advice, resources, training for all members

  • create events, conferences and networking events for all members

  • commission artists and creatives to respond to the ever-changing landscape

  • commission new contributors for our Hold the Door Open programme

  • improve our infrastructure, technology and website

  • create opportunities to support the North East freelancer economy

  • strengthen the profile and reputation of TWCF

We’re an equitable community, we know that together we can do more and we appreciate your support and your presence.
